Palazzo Calepini, currently serving as the headquarters for Fondazione Caritro, dates back to the late 16th century and was built at the behest of the noble Calepini family from the Giudicarie valleys. Between 1823 and 1844, Palazzo Calepini served as the seat of the Prince Bishops of Trento. In 1999, the building was acquired by the foundation to be used as their institutional headquarters.

Flavio Deflorian is a full professor and the Rector of the University of Trento. He is a member of the board of directors of Hub Innovazione Trentino and vice president of the VRT Foundation. He has over 200 scientific publications and numerous international research projects to his credit.

In 1995, he founded Optoi, an Italian high-tech company that produces microchips and microelectronic sensors.

She works for the Autonomous Province of Trento as the Director General of the Department for Economic Development, Research, and Labour. Previously, she held the position of Director General of the Trento Employment Agency (Agenzia del Lavoro) and served as Head of the Education and Vocational Training Service. She has also held positions at the Polytechnic University of Turin and the University of Trento.

Laura Pedron

Graduated in Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University. Expert in advanced digital technologies (blockchain and generative AI), she has led transformations across sectors, including as CEO of the State Mint and Polygraphic Institute. She is CEO of Barzanò e Zanardo, sits on Banca Mediolanum’s board, and chairs Fondazione VRT.
