Claudio Antonelli (born 1976) has served as Editor-in-Chief and subsequently Deputy Editor with responsibility for economics, finance, and the digital sector. After working at LiberoMercato and Libero, he was part of the founding team of La Verità. He is the Deputy Editor of Il Sole 24 Ore NextMed, a project by the group focused on the Enlarged Mediterranean. He is a keen observer of Africa and security issues.

Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies, Senator (FdI). He served as President of the Sicilian Region and the Province of Catania, was a Member of the European Parliament (An) for three terms, and Undersecretary in the fourth Berlusconi government. He has a degree in Political Science and is a freelance journalist and essayist.
